*snarls* WHY can't I remember where I read in which Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Bluestreak go to Google -- "humanity's greatest contribution"
or something along that line -- on whether zebras are black with white on or reversed. Sunstreaker makes a comment how if you shaved a zebra, it'd be
black. Sideswipe attempts to try it out, and winds up being strung up in the lounge upside down in the end. I just read the darn thing...!

Anyone remember the fic where it's Hot Rod's first day on Earth (pre TFTM) and he winds up becoming the Dinobots' best friend (of sorts) after
saving Sludge from Air Raid and Slingshot (?) and Grimlock finally pulls rank on the Aerialbots? Thought I read it at the Allspark or here...

G1, Sparkplug saving Magnus' live by repairing his Spark-casing despite going through a heart attack, later does pass away from his heart attack and Magnus
is consoled by Spike after the funeral. Knew I read it at the Pit o' Voles, can't seem to find it anymore.

You know I just started reading this thread and was thinking about that story while going through all these posts. Go figure. Unfortunately I have no clue
where to find on ff.net (I'm assuming that's what you mean by Pit o' Voles). I went through the search so many times trying different word
combinations a month ago. Anyway, I too would love to find that story again as well.

Yup, "Pit o' Voles" is the nickname of FF.net.
I remember that an OC that was used in the fic, Jessie, belonged to Lady Laran at FF.net. |

Got another one I'm trying to wrack my brains. TF/TMNT Some 'bots in NYC, 'Cons attack, Sideswipe winds up in the sewers with an injured turtle. Can't remember which one but it was either Leonardo or Donatello. And they're hard-pressed for time due to both of their injuries. Short, at least 4 chapters. EDIT: Never mind, Unlikely Partners by Stormy1x2 on that TF/TMNT crossover

Wow, we've been quiet...
Another fic I'm looking for (yes, my Google-fu sucks). Read it about two years ago, although it was written a little after RiD came out. Ultra Magnus is hanging around the Vietnam Memorial in DC and Prowl meets up with him unexpectedly. It was a bit dark, how Ultra Magnus makes a comment that forces a bit of rethinking on Prowl's part, but that's about all I can remember. I think the author/owner of the fansite was also a bit of a Ultra Magnus/Prowl fan... EDIT: *face palms* Found it. So no one found that G1 fic where Sparkplug is having a heart attack while trying to save Ultra Magnus' life? *hopeful look* EDIT x2: Found the G1 fic.  Don't I feel silly, finding the darn things AFTER
I post here...

Not quite a "where's that fic" this time. If anyone of the senior Cell members remember, Merytneith once posted her notes to her "Means of
Persuasion" (a LOVELY and BEAUTIFUL pre-G1 fic that's a must read for the junior members) online a few years back. I saw them once, but I can't
remember where. Help?

*to longamer* I read her story sometime ago on Lexicon, but I didn't realize she had notes for it. Though I supose I shouldn't be surprised since stories of that length require some lengthy planning out. I'd definitely second that recommandation for people to read it. I myself will have to check out those notes.

Yup, Mery took the notes down - I still have the old link to the LJ entry with her notes used to be but it's dead as a dodo. *sigh* I wanted to read them
again...
That aside, anyone know where to find a 2K7 fic where Prowl and Jazz are figuring out a story to tell Ratchet after they just had a nasty run-in with Brawl, to which we find out that Prowl actually used his chevron (of all body parts) to headbutt Brawl in the chest? It's at one of the LJs, but I can't remember. |
