And the plot thickens as they say.

Some more than others." Ahahaha. Spoiler [+] A Cybertron episode! Ah, now this feels like a proper Season 3. Actually, after losing a lot of interest in Animated after Season 2, this season is really rekindling it. I think it helps that we're moving away from the rather repetitive character episodes, and while we still have the core cast, the supporting cast are providing a huge amount of variance. And cameos. Rat-trap! Tracks! Wheeljack! Firestar! OK, so there are a couple of name changes, but the sentiment's there. I was surprised by Jazz's defection to Earth, which I assume now makes him part of the main cast. But you can never go wrong with Jazz! Fanzone, I think, is becoming one of my favourite human characters. Didn't the writers say at one time that they didn't know if they would revisit Arcee? It appears they've come up with one heck of a use for her. I can only hope that once she gets restored to health (which I think we can safely assume will happen), she gets to play something other than Damsel in Distress. I still can't get behind Animated Perceptor. Alpha Trion is great though... pity they couldn't have had Beta instead of Perceptor. It'd be a nice G1 tie in, and a good example of women in a position of authority for the kiddies (plus they could have Susan Blu reprise her voice again if they wanted to go all out, although I never liked Beta's voice). I doubt we'll see Cybertron again anytime soon, but it was fun while it lasted. Definitely one of my favourite episodes. Rowena the moonbeam / Velvet Glove Velvet Glove's Fanfics

Prowl was so angry and frustrated and lost. And when Optimus put his hand on his shoulder, I just burst into tears. I'm such a hopeless geek. And look at all the Guardian robots. That was so neat. And Arcee, waaah, is she going to be rescued? I can't stand it that the story is almost over. I want it to go on and on...

Well, the ending was a might rushed. Glad to see Omega Supreme save the day sort of but everybody contributed something which was nice. Glad to see Arcee survive. Poor Starscream. What a way to go. And I know why they felt they needed to kill Prowl but I wish someone would get some balls and say, "No, let's not kill somebody at the end this time. Let's let everybody survive and have a real happy ending." Oh, well. Not going to happen so I'll just go away and wipe my tears and pretend it didn't happen.

There were many things I complained about (just ask Marty Isenberg and Derrick Wyatt), but this is definitely up there on my list of Favorite TF Generations. (Second to G1!) He got knocked off in the '86 movie, and in Animated, though, I have to admit, seeing G1 Prowl die was much more traumatizing. Can't get any more disturbing than seeing a well loved character have smoke pour out of his mouth and optic cavities. Starscream dying was...well, epic. I laughed my skinny little ass off when he was getting pulled through the air by that All Spark fragment, but all giggles died when it got yanked out and he hit the ground. I hit pause, sat and stared at his gray shell, and started to sporfle a bit. Of all possible deaths...that one takes the energon cake. Optimus apparently taking control of Cybertron and the magnus hammer was cool. And yet, now I wonder, where is Starscream's body? ~Incoming Fire Has the Right of Way~

It was too rushed to be a real ending and too much an ending to give a feel of 'and they went on to have more adventures, yay!' What happened to the other fragment-spawned characters like the Constructicons and Wreck-Gar and such? Did they get their shards yanked or were they protected by distance or integration or such? Also, I have some fanlings to flog with rusty barbed wire. No one here, I'm talking about total inconsiderate morons who don't understand what a spoiler is. Kids, you were jerkwads when you posted "DINOBOT DIES!!?!?!?" thread titles on your message board, you were jerkwads when your FF.Net summaries were "Armada: HERE IS MY POEM ABOUT HOW NOBLE STARSCREAM WAS FOR DYING HE DIED YOU KNOW", and you are jerkwads for spending the last three weeks posting "PROWL'S GOING TO DIE WAH MY PAIN IS UNBEARABLE" all over the Internet. It felt more like a mid-season break. Honestly, I think if they do continue this show, which they should, they put themselves in good standing to do it. There's plenty of story to tell, plenty of loose ends to tie up and plenty of mythos to explore. Ironbite-all in all...I hope CN does continue it. It would make my milenium. Where there's a will, there's an Iron Raptor. For those who have wings, fly to your dreams. Zorro went that way! Points one way and goes the opposite Screen. Mind. Both are blank. SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK!!!!! BRAWN IS ALIVE!

T_T During the episode I had the rather depressing image of Wreck-Gar frolicking in a park somewhere before getting his All-spark fragment stolen and keeling over deactivated. I know we''ll probably never get the canon but I do wonder what happened to all those Constructicons and Starscream clones cluttering up the place? One 'n' canon, that's official. Two 'n' cannon fires a missile. I'd never want to nor do I plan on seeing any three 'n' cannnon.

I just hope he took that bloody processor over matter plot device with him! It's a pity if Transformers: Animated won't continue. I quite like the idea of Jazz taking over the ninja-bot role. My dislike of Prowl aside, the death is, as others have said, on the cliche side, and didn't really seem to add anything to the episode. Animated Arcee is laid back, isn't she? Wakes up, gets told that she's missing whole stellar cycles and that Omega Supreme is in Decepticon hands and she just nods and smiles. Non-sequitur teacher-bot Arcee was far more entertaining. Did I miss something? Was there a reason that they had to use Arcee with Omega Supreme instead of Ratchet? Obviously, I expected that they'd make every attempt to restore her mind anyway, but the implication was that they had to do it to get Omega Supreme back. The Magnus Hammer is TF:A's equivalent of a Final Fantasy Limit Break.... Starscream's death was possibly more unexpected than Prowl's (and why was he showing up within a hundred miles of his revenge project anyway? Come to that, Megatron had ample time to get a hundred miles away if he had tried), but as people have noted, he could well continue as a ghost. I was rather pleased to see Megatron survive. It's probably optimistic, but it's nice they've left themselves fodder for a new series. So Sari had to come on the mission because of the protoforms... Uh, why? What was the point of that? I know they had to rush the end, but they may as well have cut that scene altogether. Meanwhile, Optimus got to do his big battle with Megatron, but got fairly short shrift as far as storyline and character went. What happened to Sentinel and Ultra Magnus? It seems like it would have made more sense to incorporate an official reconciliation between Optimus and the Elite Guard instead of giving Prowl a climactic death. The loose ends were inevitable, but the episode did seem a touch off-balance. It's possible it was intended to be a season-ender that got obliged to be a series-ender just in case (similar to Rebirth's issues). I'm more likely to be snarky about Animated than anything else, but I'm glad it was made and I would like to continue. Like G1 and Beast Wars the bulk of its episodes happened before settling on the over-arching storyline, and Season 1 almost feels wasted to me. Oh boy keep me away from the animated panel at BotCon cuz BOY do I have a bone to pick with them and their Mary Stu Sari and now this crap-tastic ending duo-episodes. If Animated ends here, "This is why I hate machines" will be the final ep in my book. grumble My Boys! ^.^

While there's still plenty of material for another season (for plot, have Megatron be broken out of confinement by Team Charr; have Blurr resurrected in a new body; follow up what happened to Blackarachnia; give us Sari's full backstory; have Sentinel causing problems), I'm betting S3 ended that way just so it could be called a wrap-up in the event of no season 4. Note that there's been no word one way or the other on what the next Transformers TV series will be. Not even rumors. It could well be a late S4, or it could be something new again - maybe a Movie spinoff. Your guess is as good as mine.
